Step-By-Step Summary Guide To Buying A PC

I have designed this Buyer's Guide so that it contains pretty much everything that I know about how to design, specify and buy a PC. However, this makes the Guide very long, and I realize that it contains a lot of general and background information that some PC buyers might not care to read about. Even if you do want to read everything in this Guide, you might be a bit overwhelmed by the amount of material; I certainly was in writing it. :^)

To combat this, I created this summary guide as a high-level starting point for approaching how to buy a PC. The five pages in this section mirror the information in the five main chapters of the Buyer's Guide, except that they have been "boiled down", if you will, into concentrated form. I have also converted much of the general information into specific steps that you can follow in order to get from start to finish more easily, and augmented them with summarized lists of key tips. There are dozens of links that take you down into the detail of the Buyer's Guide, so you can read more about specific subtopics as required. And if you don't need to read more detail, you can just continue on to the next step until you're done with buying your system.

Warning: Please do not read these summary pages and assume you have learned all that this Buyer's Guide has to offer in terms of knowledge and experience in PC buying. I can't say in one page what I say in 50. It's a faster read, but remember: TANSTAAFL.
