With accompanying software, this allows you to view television in a window on your desktop. While far from a necessity for the average PC user, this can be a fun accessory, and one that I predict will become more popular in the future. Like so many other video add-on features, TV tuners are available in two different flavors: some come integrated into a standard video card, while others are separate add-in cards.
