Other General Information

The following are general information sites that I think you may find useful:

  • comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware FAQ: This is the general FAQ for the comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware.* hierarchy. It has a large amount of information, some of it quite useful; be warned however, that much of it is now out of date and either incorrect or irrelevant to modern systems.
  • Cram Session: A great site for anyone interested in A+, Microsoft or other certifications. Lots and lots of information.
  • Deja.com: A search engine for USEnet articles. I use this site daily.
  • Hogan Productions: A very useful site that contains hundreds of technical books available for free perusal online.
  • PC Improvements: This site provides free technical support by email, as well as some interesting articles.
  • PC Watch: This is a handy site for checking the latest news about PCs. Updated weekdays.
  • The Virtual Museum of Computing: A cool site for geeks like me, containing a lot of historical information about computers in general.
