want to install graphic card with tv out,but mb presently have built in graphic.do i need to remove or disable present built in graphic card for new card to work properly.

Hi Sump..

Yes, you will need to disable the onboard video. Look in your motherboard manual. It should explain how to set a specific jumper to disable the video. It will probably have a diagram of the layout for your motherboard so that you can identify which jumper to adjust.

If you don't have a motherboard manual, then find out what make and model it is and maybe you can download it from the manufacturers website.

Or of course if you don't disable it you could run a dual monitor setup but if it is a name brand (HP, Compaq, eMachines etc) computer you probably will need to go to the manufacturers web site to find the procedure. Some name brand computers will actually allow you to disble the on board video may changing a jumper positon on the mother board. Most of the name brand computers use mother boards that contain some custom features that are just different enough from the standard versions of the boards to require special procedures for disabling the on board features.
