If I buy an OEM hard drive, what am I not getting? Can the "not included" be loaded from the web? Any opinions on boxed vs. OEM is appreciated.
Thank you.
With OEM you get the drive.
No extra disks for support ( You can download them If needed from the web)
You also get a shorter Guarantee from the retailer ( Normally 15 to30 days)
For the Full warranty you will have to deal with the manufacturer
Also with an OEM drive you don't get any cables, and maybe no screws...

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to check-out the OEMs at the local computer electronic store.

Warranty arrangements for OEM drives vary from brand to brand and place to place. You need to check these out individually.
