I have been using a Sony CD rewriter with Nero V5.5 on Win NT 4
workstation. I can click and drag files to start the burn process to
a CD-R and the burn goes without a hitch. When I try the same
process with a CD-RW however, the process starts, (caching the
files), then I get the following errors. 1. Could not perform
fixation: burn process failed, 2. SCSI Target Error. I think fixation
relates to closing tracks after a burn but the rewriter is IDE not
SCSI. Any thoughts? Have I missed something?

Try different CD-RW media, several varieties may be needed. Also is InCD the latest version...it doesn't always install the latest when you update Nero (it is a separate download, but is included in some distributuions, like those found on compilation/trial CDs in magazines).
