Okay, I originally asked this under general troubleshooting, but I realsie its more applicable on this board. My cousin is having problems with VERY large desktop icons! We have tried everything including re-installing the drivers. The only thing not tried is a complete re-install of windows, but she wants to avoid that if possible. No matter what we set the settings to and click apply..as soon as the system reboots its forgotten what was set and gone back to how it was. Anyone any idea as to why it would ignore the apply command?.Any help gratefully received:-)

Sounds like something a virus would do. Have you run a good virus scanner recently with current DAT files?
