Hi

me again
(different problem though)

I have a very old sound card at home (a VIBRA 16, and yes I am ashamed of it). Whenever i play music and run a program at the same time the sound becomes distorted. For example the other day I was running winamp and vb6, whenever I used the scroll bar the sound was distorted. A friend told me that it had to do with the video card taking priority over the sound card and that I could change it somewhere. Is he right? where do I change it?

Some systems specs would be helpful...and is this the same machine that had the video card problem?

What are the background programs? Low system resources can cause this problem, along with the video card. You can go to the system properties (right click on my computer -> properties) and then to the performance tab and then graphics and pull the acceleration slider back a notch or two.
