I was working on a 5724 Compaq Presario trying to use there quick restore cds...The older ones are horrible. Anyways, quick restore said error writing to drive d, seemed to be going extremely slow, decide to try to reformat drives and then try quick restore again. Reformatted c partition fine, went to format d partition, automatically popped up a t 6% done, stayed that way and then said not enough memory and gave me a c prompt. I have never seen this when trying to reformat. Any ideas are welcome.

Make a bootable floppy, delete the dblespace stuff. Copy format.exe to the floppy, boot from it and execute it!
