I would like to know if there is a site where I can d/l an earlier version of IE. I have 5.5 on a disk, but would rather have a different version. Thanks so much for the info.!

What you gotta do is get a hold of a pc magazine cover CD. They all have IE on them, all you need to do is get a copy with your required version - try to ascertain when the version you want was released

You might also browse through some of your older program CD's, sometimes they have IE on them and you never know it unless you pop in the CD and look through it in Windows Explorer. I have IE 3.02 on my old Sound Blaster 16 driver/utility CD, IE 4 on a couple others, and on Earthlink CD's etc. Don't even think about installing the one from an AOL CD...I'm using IE 5 now off an Earthlink CD, just exit the install wizard and go to the Run box, and browse to the folder you want on the CD, install from there. Driver/Utility CD's for sound cards, modems and such are a very good place to look. IE 4 is also on the Win98 CD, but the version on mine is flaky, I always have to install IE 5 to get rid of the bugs in that particular version.
