My questions are really very simple.
I have a video card with TV out (S-Video and analogic one = the yellow jack).

1) How long a S-Video cable (or A/V cable) can be before signal go irreparably down (for example if I have TV in another room) ?
2) Can I derive sound into TV by the A/V cables (red and white) or sound can only exit from PC headphones or - amplified - from stereo ?

Thank you

Ah, just another thing.
I don't know if this is the right place to introduce another problem related to the starting of X server on FreeBSD OS. If it is, please I'd like the moderator say me.

A Number of factors will affect the way you can use the DVD and Vidoe/TV display of the unit.

First the Video card output signal . Strength
The Cables used to move the signal to the stereo and TV
Taking into account the cable shielding and length.

I many cases the signal degradation will be seen when you exceed the cable length of a normal dupe cable . ( About 6 feet)
