Hello,
Here's the situation. I attempted to transfer a Tandy VGM-225 monitor from my 386 (3.11 Workgroups for windows os) which displayed fine, to a Win 95 486 & the display showed 3 seperate desktop groups & 3 different mouse pointers with a shaky screen. I checked the resoulution & it was set to 800x600. I attempted to find a updated device driver & no luck. The problem is also that I don't have a copy of Win 95. Any suggestons would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John
Sounds like you are hooking an Interlaced Monitor to a NON interlaced video card
Or the other way around.
You may also want to drop the video mode to 640x480 and 16 colors just to see what happens
800x600 x ??? may not be supported

Thanks Rick I'll try adjusting the resolution. Interlaced Monitor & NON interlaced are new terms to me so at the least I will gain more puter knowledge should things not work out.
Btw, what do the insignas stand for?

Novice_Nomad,
"Insignias," or "the little icon dealys" are representative of one's desire to help and learn. Although they are not necessarily a measure of one's computer knowledge or savvy, if someone's racked up a few they've probably gleaned some information worthy of passing on.
Tis a wonderful place to "hang-out" if you enjoy helping and learning as there are some IT experts in our midst! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

The monitor may also only have a max refresh rate of 56 or 60 Hz, if the 95 machine sin't set for those rates then you could have a similar display problem.

Thanks guys, I switched the resolution to 640x480 & Abracadabra it works.
Looks like I need to hang around here on a more frequent basis. Not to mention, those insignas would look mighty impressive in my signature by the year 2004? Will see.
Thanks again,
John
