My new computer has acquired an incredibly annoying sireny sounding bleep when the computer is loading something, usually while i am playing a game and occasionally on start-up.

Does anyone know what this is, whether there is something wrong with my computer, or how i can stop it?

It may be an alarm from your BIOS temperature or voltage monitors. If you have system monitoring software, run it and check, otherwise enter the BIOS setup while booting and check there.
