I am working on my grandpa's computer. It is a year old Dell computer. There are times when he tries to do something and the monitor turns white. The computer is completely frozen. Not even ctl+alt+delete will work. What could be causing this problem? I have never seen a monitor turn white before. It happened most recently when I tried to use add/remove programs from the control panel. Could this be a video card problem?
Thanks,
Mike
I wonder if someone could have changed the settings for the BSOD (blue screen of death, the typical error screen).....
Try booting into safe mode and checking device manager for any ghost drivers (duplicated devices) als see if the problem occurs in safe mode.
