Guess I have the same problem as some of the posts here. After initial assembly with this board it wouldn't boot but was getting power. The Monitor clicks on and after 5 seconds, then clicks off to standby. I checked and rechecked everything and it finally booted. I made my BIOS settings then loaded the OS. It ran fine and everything seemed to work. Then, after a shutdown, same thing. Can't get a video signal to the Monitor. Tried another video card, processor, memory ( all known working parts ) Yesterday, I tried again and after about 50 tries it booted up all the way to the OS. No errors etc. But, shut it down and forget it. This is a new case but I can't believe it's a PS problem. All the fans work and the M/B LED is lit. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks, John D.

Can you try the MB with a another power supply? If you can, try that with just bare bones: MB, Cpu, video, and memory. If that works, add other components.

well 4;

I just intalled the board in another system and the problem is still there but now it seems to start on the second try..... which a a big improvment!

This system is a P ll 400 with 128mb ram. Since this board has the i820 chipset and has a MTH ( memory translater hub ) the memory only runs at

100MHZ which is why I didn't use this board after I got it. I heard about the lock up problems and even Intel put out a notice and recalled their boards. Gigabyte said they had no problems but decided to stop making the board just in case. Anyway, I want to use it if possible as it has support for ATA/66 and a better Processor. It's just that the memory runs slower because of the hub. I guess the i820 was initially designed for Ram Bus memory. I'll keep poking around but I'm about out of things to try now. It's not the PS, Proc, memory. I can't think of anything else.

Thanks to anyone with more suggestions...
