I have a logitec page scanner. It is piggy backed with the printer on the lpt1. The computer won't detect the scanner. I have tried all logitec advises.

Bill,
You may have already done this but if you haven't you might try (assuming the printer is/was working fine by itself on LTP1) removing the printer and installing the scanner and associated software by itself. If you can get it to run as the only device on the parallel port you should (hopefully) then be able to shut down, physically reinstall both the printer and scanner together and then reboot. That may help. Harry
Good idea Harry. Unfortunately, sometimes devices just don't "share" the parallel port well. Another thing to try is changing the parallel port mode in the system BIOS. If all fails, a second parallel port or a switchbox may be your best option.
