I've just acquired a US Robotics Sportster Voice 33.6 Faxmodem - but without the power adapter! Does anyone know the voltage this modem uses? (and if AC or DC?).
Also - it came with Macintosh cables & connectors, but there's nothing marked on it to indicate that its only for a Mac. Can it be used for either? (With the appropriate software,of course).
It's got a serial no: 01114000
Thank you folks.

I've checked everywhere for the adapter voltage - no joy yet. The numbers on the modem bear no relationship to anything on the manu's site - apparently they use a different system in Europe (BABT or something). Took it apart and found CR 0090 on the internal modem transformer, which led me to an Italian site that identified it as V90 compliant. Great! I thought - just get a free upgrade (once I've got an adapter). Free! They charge over $80! Huh!
Anyone know the adapter voltage ... PLEASE!

Have you tried opening it up? Bet you'll find some sort of indication inside.
Tried calling 3com?
