Thanx for our reply. The modem worked orginally, didn't add or change anything, then poof!, it started not working unless I rebooted. I already checked my connection settings. Thaks for your response anyway.

Check and see if anything like fax software is running in the background that would be trying to access your modem. FAx software can do it, Windows automatic update, virus scanner automatic update, etc.
