I recently had to reformat my Harddrive, And have been able to reinstall everything with exception of my HP-932C Deskjet printer. I am using the USB port and Windows 98. Any suggestions on action needed? DO I have to use the Parallel connection instead?

Hopefully, I am not coming off as insulting by making the following suggestions:
1) Check to make sure USB support is enabled in the CMOS settings.
2) Consult the Device Manager for similar observance.
3) Installing the printer using USB is a** backwards be sure to follow the instructions where you don't connect the USB cable to the pc until it asks you to do so when using the installation disk.
4) Updating drivers for this printer when using USB is a pain also (having to uninstall the printer first and creating a new directory on your HD), etc.
5) Check the HP website for some great documentation on problems with this device and some real solutions.
Hope your back in business soon-Jerry
