I have purchased a new modem and I am running windows 98.
When I run the modem diagnostic. Responds with this message
"The modem failed to respond...”

When I try to install the drivers through the file search
Conexant PCI modem enumerator.
Window is now ready to install the best drivers for this device.
Location drive:
C:\windows\INF\enx103M.IN7
And there is a dialog box and button to press "copyfile"

Then after short while error message is received.
Please insert disk labelled "Windows Installation disk.”

So thus I put in my Windows 98 disk.

I then receive an error message
"The file cnx1035.cty on Windows Installation disk cannot be found.”

Of course it can't be found, This file is on your modem installation disk!
You'll have to browse windows to the proper location. I know how to do this but can't remember the details. You have to defeat windows inscrutable logic.
