i want to know what the mouse (ps/2 & serial/9 pin) pin connector number & function (example: pin1=+5, pin2=ground, etc).
is the mouse pin number different for each mouse?

Mice can be either serial or PS/2. They use different plugs, but each is standard. The pinouts on one serial mouse are the same as the next, same for PS/2. The only difference is that more pins are required for a 3 button mouse, since it has one more button that sends a signal into the serial or PS/2 connector.

The Hardware Book (http://www.sonic.net/~alanwall/hwb/hwb.html) should have a diagram of the pinouts, and more info.
