I`ve been having a problem with the left button on my mouse. Normally I used to be able to double click the left mouse button to open files but it won`t work anymore. I find I have to right click then left click on OPEN or SELECT from the drop down list. I replaced the mouse but the problem remains.

Have you opened the mouse control panel and tried lowering the double-click speed?
