You should always state which OS and version you are using.
Win95/98/SE/ME? It makes a big difference in trying to solve problems.
Are the speakers USB, or do they connect direct to your sound card?

Welcome, George! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
It's probably not the speakers themselves that are causing the problem,
but rather the program that you are using to play music, etc.
If your system has a limited amount of memory, which is what is usually meant by
"resource conflict", you may just not be able to do both things at the same time.
It can depend on a lot of things:
• How many programs are running at the time
• How many programs are running every time you start up
Is your system one you built yourself, or store-bought?
PS - Candles and oil lamps still have their place. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif
