Could this be a French keyboard? Wondering since you're in Canada. If so, it might be a symbol or a character that's not used in American English, but is used in French.

My guess: Fn stands for "Function" -- it acts like alt key or ctrl key -- as in ctrl+shift or alt+esc.

Is the text a different color? Are there other keys with some of the same color text? You may be able to do things like mute audio from the keyboard.

Its a multimedia keyboard and all my special buttons are at the top of the keyboard this button is the exact colour of any key on the board and exactly has ..... Fn ........ on it . The little booklet that came with the keyboard says nothing about it and the store where I got it dont know either. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

If there are any special dual-function keys, for example to raise and lower CD music volume,
or to move one track forward or back, you may have to use the Fn key first to get the second function.

Also saw something like that on laptops with only F1 through F6 keys.
You press the Fn key first to get F7 - F12. Saves space.

It functions the second choice on your function keys. You should have little pictures below the F numbers and that is the second function.
