hi,
i am facing repeatedly this problem with the printer irrespective of printer model and operating system. when you logon to network, sometimes you won't find any installed Printer Icons in printer folder. so naturally you can't print anything because operating system couldn't find installed printers. this happens for Local printers and as well as network printers. but if I restart the system then naturally printer Icons will come in priter folder and I can take the prints.this happens sometimes but not always.Have anyone has come across with this type of problem?. can somebody help me totrace the problem? This happens frequently in windows95
operating system.

If you post more about what type of Network you are "logging onto" ...someone here will be able to help. It sounds to me like you are occasionally not really logging on [maybe your NIC is having a problem].

Are the Network Printers connected straight to the Network Via Network cards or shared off someone elses PC.

If the latter, you will not see the Printer icon if they have powered down their PC.
