I've recently bought a new motherboard (Biostar M7VKB) and decided to put together a new computer, when I try to plug the monitor plug to the motherboard, none of the ports fits, my guess is that my motherboard does not have a VGA port? what can I do right now? is there a converter that can change my serial port to a VGA port? I'm not really sure what I should do?
please help me...

Hi,
Without actually looking up the motherboard specs, I tend to think that you don't have onboard video. If you did, there would be a 15pin connector on the motherboard for it.
You will have to purchase an add-on video card. If you have an available AGP slot, go with an AGP based video card. If not, then you can use a PCI based. Try to get a card that has at least 32mb of onboard RAM. If you plan to play a lot of games, a 3D accelerator card would be the way to go. Many people around this forum suggest the Geforce brand of video card. The quality of the one you get will depend on how much you want to spend.
Good luck.
