ok have 3 pc's 2 running 98,1 running ME i set up lan, they each can see each other, they can download files from each other, went to set up internet connection sharing from the ME machine, created disks installed them on the two 98 machines, when i tried and acess the main one with the modem,IE couldnt find it, (192.168.0.1) i then tried to ping it from the other machines, no repsonce, i have checked the ip address and workgroup name, they were correct besides if they wernt i wouldnt think the file sharing would work..i can ping the other 98 machines from each other and the ME machine, but not the ME machine from the 98 machines, i tried disabling the antivirus and had only explorer and systray running in the task box... still no good.. any idea's ..?

Hi. I have 3 PC's one with win98, one with win2k, and one with ME. I have DSL and then a router after the modem, then the comps are all hooked up to the router. I never had to run any ICS on any of these machines, just hooked them up to the router.

The router is what will connect to the internet if you are using more than 2 machines, u need a router.
