Happy New Year!!!! First day of 2002 and I'm getting problems on my pc!! What a great way to start of the new year!! (too bad text can't show sarcasm)
Anyways, when installing from a cd, the installer gives me an error about the
"move data process -106
component: minimum/compressed
filegroup: minimum compressed
file: mx6005a.acm"
I looked around and I read somewhere that it can be either a bad cd or the "auto insert notification" on windows. How do I disable this in XP? I can't seem to find it!!!

In Xp there is a neat little feature on the properties tab of your drives that allows you to set the specific action for the drive to take when sensing certain media ( aka pic's, music, etc.. ).

Just go to " my computer ' and right click on a drive icon-there will be a tab called " autoplay ', just click it then customize it's settings per file type.

Now that's pretty slick!! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/tongue.gif

As for your file problem, i'd say it was a problem with the file itself; is that a video BIOS rom by anychance? looks like a selfcompressed file, it may be corrupted and this is why you're getting the error.
