Having found the manufacture 'Lifeview' has no driver for there 'USB Robo Cam' that will run on Windows XP. Dose any one know if ther is a driver by another make that is compatable to this product that will work on XP

none of the generic XP drivers worked??

OK, check out this (http://www.3dlinks.com/spectrum/issues/spectrum-nov-01-99.cfm)link (about a third of the way down the page is the info on Lifeview) I snatched from a Google search and use the telephone number if you haven't already done that...good luck.

I think this is the major concern I am hearing now since the release of XP...prior to release it was anticipated activation headaches, but since the release I personally know peeps and see this posted a lot elsewhere that their apps won't work with XP or there is missing driver support from software manufacturers/vendors http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

I may be wrong on this - but I'm sure I saw a post on this forum relating to drivers that do already exist on XP but that the OS needs to be tweaked in some way for them all to show-up. The PCGuide Search is not working for me right now or I might have found it.

Can anyone confirm this - or am I more deluded than usual?? http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif

Thanx again for trying to help, I have been down this avenue, trying to e-mail Lifeview is a trial in its self as the mail is always returned. However I have spoken to the UK supplyer and await a report from them. I am now getting lots of reports that this is a big problem with XP as you have found. Regards Bob any colour you like as long as its PINK.

R D Shotter I must have had a rush to the head coz I cant now find what I alluded to previously. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/mad.gif I am truly pretty deluded at the moment due to a bad dose of shingles. I am sure you have already been to Lifeview Downloads (http://www.lifeview.com/Service/Download/download.html). Since it is the same download there for 98,ME and 2000 I would be tempted to try it out - but then I have no experience of XP at all - and I love getting my fingers burned!! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

BTW what happens when you plug in the USB and as sea69 suggested is there any option of trying a generic Video Capture? Good Luck neways and let us know if you solve the problem.
