can anybody help with trying to update the modem for my pc, i run xp home with amd xp1700 with 256k ddr the system is 2 weeks old but the modem is shown as a intel HaM data fax voice with the driver date of 20/11/2000 3.34.0.0 this is clearly long before xp was released(at least here in the uk) and i occaisionally get a hang when i try to dial out or sometimes i disconnect but the system insists that i am still connected and will not let me reconnect (error address book in use) intels site has no ref to my modem at all and i am unable to find anything on driverguide apart from that it seems to work fine. The main reason i ask is that windows insists that the driver is unsigned but cannot find a more suitable driver.i dont know if this is the root of the problem but everything else is ok so this is desperation time!
thanx

I tried different drivers throughout the neigborhood but I found to many
Hassels so for the price is really not to much I just found a compatible modem that w2000 accepted and installed, bingo all problems solved approx.
