Hello BALAJI,

Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif Forums!

I notice that you double posted your problem in HOW DO I (http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/Forum9/HTML/001722.html) ...probably just rethinking where to post the problem. Once is sufficient even if it's not the exact category. It becomes confusing and doesn't speed things up.

To your problem: Did you follow the instructions regarding driver loading etc? At this point I would UNPLUG the CAMERA. I would go into SAFE MODE>DEVICE MANAGER>and REMOVE the device. I would then REBOOT and use the UNINSTALL. REBOOT once again (shutdown all running programs except Explorer and Systray using Ctrl+Alt+Delete then End Task) and REINSTALL the drivers. Then, hook the camera up when instructed to do so.

Thanks I followed the procedure as written by you I noticed a peculiar thing When I tried to uninstall ' Creative web cam GO MINI driver 'using Add/Remove program a msg seen ' Drivers removed already ' when select Add/Remove but the 'Crea.... Driver ' remains on the list of prog When I attempt installing the said driver next time then I don't get any message saying ' Drivers alredy installed 'etc And when I go to Add/Remove prog and select the driver and click Add/Remove again I get the same message that ' Drivers removed already ' Does that mean the drivers are not getting installed now becoz of the drivers being on the list ? Could you please tell me how to remove ' Crea..... driver ' from the list in 'Add/Remove Prog prop ' ? Do I hv to remove Windows completely and reinstall it again ? Please advise
Regards Balaji

Well, let's consider uninstalling in Windows since the camera appears in the Add/Remove. If you need to reinstall to be able to gain access to the uninstall that would be fine. Then, go back into SAFE MODE and if any residual remains REMOVE.

REBOOT and then install per instructions. Check in DEVICE MANAGER for any conflicts. If the problem persists and the camera is not working...I would find their web site and contact Tech Support providing your system specs. If you need immediate assistance and want to talk directly with a Tech I'm sure they will have supplied the Phone Numbers to do so.

Tech Support may be aware of existing problems with other devices, such as the scanner.

Would you let us know once again what happens?

Check the scanner again , when you installed the scanner it may have installed older TWAIN drivers, so check the version of the twain.dll (should be at least 1,7,1,0...). Also check to see if there is an update for the scanner software (if it did load the older twain.dll then maybe the update has the newer one......), it should be in the Windows/system folder (or do a search for twain.dll) and then right click on it it and look at the version number.

It was OK I feel that the driver on ADD/REMOVE prog has got frozen I shall reload the Windows completely and install webcam once more and convey the latest position to you
