Welcome to Pc Guide, Hmmm have you called your ISP to see that the connections are right?
Have you re-set the internal modem to make sure it is seated properly?

Also make sure your "dailup" profile is set to use the new modem.
Check that the old modem entry in the "modem" control panel icon has been removed, then check that the new modem is working by opening the "Diagnostics" page. Now highlight the new modem's com port and choose "more info" to see if you get a responce from the modem. If you don't get any responces then change the new modem's com port to be the same as the com port used by the old modem and try agian. Note that if you can't change the port from the modem's properties, then you may need to reinstall it.
If none of this works, then post back what error is reported by the modem.
Good luck http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
