i need a little bit of imformation. i have a laptop without a cd-rom. what i need to know is, how can i, and what would i need to install a operating system on it useing a desktop pc. thanks

More system info would help. If this machine is old enough that it just doesn't have a CD-ROM available, you may be out of luck.
If it is newer and you have USB, you can get an external drive for a decent price these days. Be careful as you can spend way more on extra parts then the machine is possibly worth.
