I have a IBM Thinkpad 600E laptop. I cannot use my
modem. I have Windows 2000 on it. The error message
that I am getting is Modem Internal Error,MWME0001,
priamry code:5 secondary code:105. Line 4426.Can some

Don't know much about think pads but have you tried deleting the modem and letting pnp detect,and try loading driver files manually if that does not work? Has it got the correct port assignment like (com2)?
