Ok my friend has a compaq computer with a Presario 7 button keyboard, and they have had the computer/keyboard for a while and today his brother decided he would do a lil maintaineance on the keyboard, so he popped off the letters the top number row, and the shift, ctrl, and some of the others, and blew all the crud outta them, he used no water or anything, just toilet paper to get all the stuff out. He unplugged computer b4 taking the USB cable off, now he put it all back together right, and now most of the keys dont work, some keys type two things and most of the letters do NOTHING!! whats the problem, what can he do, he said there is nothing in it internally, and they changed nothing. We are drawing a blank

I don't have a clue what to do with the keyboard, but I just got an ad from Micro Center today and they are selling a USB keyboard with hookup for 2 other USB devices for $10. It also has some extra buttons for extra functions, like web access. Apparently you can buy it from their web site if you don't have one of their stores locally. I suspect you are going to be needing a new keyboard.

Good luck,
