Need help getting this old pc to boot. It runs through post ok but when it is time to boot floppy I recieve this error "Server does not support boot Enviroment". Selected boot enviroment is [A+dvantage for dos]. I don't know what this means or how to change it. Thanks in advance.

What kind of "Boot Disk" are you using to start this computer? Do you know what the Operating System installed on the old computer is? We can help, but this information is important to know for most of us to give you ideas http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Check the bios for the boot sequence. Sounds like it's trying to boot from a LAN device. If so, change it to something like A:, C: or whatever. Hope this helps.

Cant imagine why it wont boot, but I would try a floppy with win 95 system files on it or win98 system files, rather than the one you are using.

Sounds like they are setup to run through a server .
fdisk & format , this takes everything off & you will need a operating system & aboot disk with CD rom support .
You will have a clean system this way .
If you hav'nt got the above , you will have to clean out what is not needed . John .
