I have completly redone my system today and i noticded that windows says that my 10 gig hard drive is a 2 gig hard drive. Reformating and playing with the cmos settings so far have done me no good.

Where does windows say this. I have noticed that windows usually gives me a very different reading of what my HD is than other programs, although usually not as drastic as what you describe. If you have another program that reads what is on your HD you might want to see what that says. You can also look at Properties in Device Manager and it may give you a more accurate reading. Even if tells you that you only have 2 gigs, if you have more it should still be usable.
Other possibilities: did you partition the HD?
did you mess with the hardware in any way that might have damaged the HD?
Good luck,

Sounds like you formatted as a fat 16 instead of 32.

Yeap ive done this myself  need to use a 98 startup disc to format in Fat 32 if ya was using a 95 instead.
If you installed 98 doesnt 98 have a option to convert to Fat 32 without having to reinstall?

Yes, Windows 98 has a FAT convertor located at Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools if it's installed, but I would opt for the fdisk method and start over fresh, I wouldn't trust an application that does it after the installation of Windows.
I rarely recommend a format/reinstall, but I think this might be a good case for it. You can try the FAT convertor and see, then go with the reinstall if it has problems, or still sees only 2GB drive size.
Let us know if you need help running fdisk...

How old is your system.
There are some Bios' that wont allow a partition larger then 2GB. Yoou might need a bios upgrade or an boot loader from the hard drive manufacturer that will allow you to use the entire drive.
