I'm running win2000pro on a dell opti150. My problem is that I have never (since new) been able to connect any peripherals (Kodak Palm etc) thru the serial ports (2 physical ports) I have tried ending all processes in the task manager but still can't get the serials to recognize any new hardware. Any suggestions? Thanks RC

Have you checked your serial port settings in Device Manager and in your bios? It is possible that they are simply not active, although this would be odd.
