I am running windows xp on a new computer, I have a nvidia riva tnt2 model 64 display adapter and a benq (acer) v772 monitor.
I am unable to play a lot of games as I am running in basic vga mode.
I have no monitor listed in hardware manager, and in display advanced setting ADAPTER TYPE (NOTHING)
CHIP TYPE UNAVAILABLE
DAC TYPE UNAVAILABLE
MEMORY SIZE UNAVAILABLE
ADAPTER STRING UNAVAILABLE
BIOS INFO UNAVAILABLE
PROPERTIES VGASAVE
DRIVER DETAILS GREYED OUT
MONITOR DEFAULTS MONITOR PROPERTIES GREYED OUT
I have all the latest driver and can't install them. My computer is only3 months old and came with windows 98 and I am pretty sure my games worked then.

It may be time for a new video card...for some reason XP seems to have a number of difficulties with older cards period.
