You can buy a basic repair tool kit just about anywhere, but as you do more work on systems you'll figure out what tools you have to have and which ones aren't key.

It depends on your qualification. But I do beleived in experience is the best teacher. The best thing is to explore first all about the computer parts. or it will be better if you can assemble your own PC all by your self. Im sure a lot of guys can help you in this forum in case you face some problem.

A phillips screwdriver and an inquisitive nature. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif Probably wouldn't hurt to also very thoroughly understand Win95, Win98, WinMe, WinNT, Win2K, Internet Explorer, etc., etc.... But seriously, Lauro, if you don't have a lot of formal training, try to find a shop that might let you start out by doing some of the "grunt work" like replacing drives, adding memory upgrades, replacing video cards, and similar tasks. Show them you are willing to learn, watch the other techs, and ask questions. Open up your own system and look around inside to get some idea of how things fit together. Read the sections in The PC Guide about procedures (http://pcguide.com/proc/index.htm) and troubleshooting (http://pcguide.com/ts/index.htm). Good Luck! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Randy -- That's right, I forgot.
Electric = Advanced
Cordless = Master
Cordless w/ pivoting handle = Grand Master
