I am running a computer with an Athlon 1700 and a Soltek 75DRV5 motherboard. THe Athlon's bus speed for some reason is running at 100mhz instead of 133mhz. I tried to overclock it but the tab to allow this are disabled in bios. Can any one help me? Has any one had this problem?

That's weird. The specs say that it should have the BIOS settings for the FSB.

I see there is something called RedStorm Overclocking for that board. Have you tried that?

Just found a review of that board over at AMD Motherboard. The review states that any messing around with the FSB, multipliers and AGP settings are done by jumpers, specifically dipswitches. Do you have these set correctly for 133Mhz FSB? Go check out the review:

Look closely on your Mboard. You will
find three different sets of dip switches.

For setting Bus Speed the dip switch marked
SW3 is the one you need.

On SW3 set all switches (1-5) to the OFF position.
This will set your Bus Speed at 133Mhz.

Presently #1 and #5 on SW3 are set to the ON
position giving you a FSB of 100Mhz.

BTW. Please do not use Red Storm option in BIOS
as it often causes grief that cannot be corrected.
In theory it was supposed to work but.....

Have a manual?

I use a DRV2/DRV4 and like them both. The only
difference with the DRV5, it has a KT333 chipset,
rather than the KT266A.

For some time I thought the Soyo Dragon+ was the
"fastest" board I had until I purchased a Soltek.
