I have started a new thread specifically not to confuse Nino's Qs and As With mine. To answer your Q Budfred,I phoned PC World techs because they where the retailers of my Daughters E-Machine, they where not much help. I do not want to open the case to check just now because the PC is still under warrantee. I am takeing a ride to my Daughters this afternoon and will log on from there to check if there is another alternitive. To access the BIOS on an E-Machine, with Windows XP re-start and keep taping on the delete key to gain access.( My contribution for to-days tips
Check you later )

I would check the warranty info closely, I doubt that opening the case voids it since it would mean that you couldn't add any expansion cards or whatever. If that is the case, I typically void my warrantees in the first few days after I get my computer because I am messing about in them from the beginning.
I think EMachine does have some support options out there and I heard a report that they have improved because they were being rated so poorly all the time. You might want to check that out too.
Good luck,
Budfred

Congratulations. It is amazing how much more you can do in person to get these damn things working.
