Hello.
I need a new power supply, but I'm not sure what kind of wattage it should be. I'm running an AMD K6-2 500, 128MB RAM, 2 HDs (3.2Gb and 1Gb), CD-ROM, a system exhaust fan and a Voodoo 3. I've had two 200W supplies pack in now, so I'm assuming it should be more than that! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif Thanks.

Where the other two of reasonable quality? (you know not the cheapest available)

Did the last one have any kind of warranty? and how long? and how quickly did it fail?

In any case I'd say at least 250W (maybe a little more if you plan on addng any thing else to this system). the greatest load is when your first start the system, so you should have enough to cover that with a 250w, but a 200w really could handle what you've got but it may be a little overtaxed at startup, especially if it was a real cheap one.....

If they failed in rapid succession I would also suspect some sort of power problem at the outlet.
