Hello,
I just put together a new PC and I cannot get the sytem to boot up. When I turn on the system, the CPU fan and Northbridge fan go on, but I get no video display or "beep" messages. I've tried several of the the suggestions I've seen posted so far to no avail. I've tried removing the video card, reseating the RAM, setting all the jumpers to default setting, and just running the CPU and MOBO. Nothing. These are the componets.
AMD 1.3 200 mhz fsb
FIC AD11 motherboard
256 DDR RAM
Elsa GeForce Gladiac MX
Quantum Fireball ATA 100 HD.
I did a couple of dry runs placing the heat sink and fan over the CPU with the retaining clip before I removed the sticker on the heat sink material. I thought that maybe I damaged the CPU by doing this, but I looked and it appears to be fine. Is there anyway I can determine which component might be at fault, without buying additional parts to try in the system. Thanks in advance for any possible suggestions.
