hey
i must understand it once and for all :)
what is the different between pci bus, pci bridge, and pci controller ??

or - isa bus, isa bridge , and isa controller .??
--------------------------------------------------------------------
i also read about isa irq controller, and isa dma controller
i know the meaning of dma and irq,
but what the "isa" is saying here .
it is not isa adapter which plugged into a slot.
so what is the meaning of "isa" in the context .

thanks

why do pci bus need a driver ?
as i understand pci bus is the physical cable,
that connect the devices to the motherboard.

so why its need a driver -
its not a controller or a bridge which are devices,
its only a cable .

what does the meaning of pci bus driver ?

thanks:confused:
