HP Computer Win-98, We had power transformer blow and after the electric was restored the computer would run scandisk over and over after the splash win98 screen. Reloaded the operating sys with the restore disk no luck same thing. Disabled (run scandisk after bad shutdown loacted in the msconfig area now I get the HP splash screen then the win98 screen then system goes back to the HP screen this just goes over and over.
