hello,
i just installed win2000 and im having problems trying to get cdrwin to work. it keeps saying it's missing aspi manager but when i tried installing that the program for aspi manager said i needed to have a adaptec host controller installed.
does anyone know how i might go about installing one of these? i tried in in the device manager (add new hardware too) but i kept getting a manually hardware message and i have no idea how to configure that.
windows 2000 seems ok so far but this is just freakin me out man.
thanx

cdrwin = What? -- software? CDR drive ?
ASPI manager = software
adaptec host controller = hardware (probably SCSI)
You can update drivers and disable devices in Device Manager, but you can't really 'install' anything.

Maybe you need to upgrade your CDRW software for the new OS? We recently had to purchase new software to run a tape drive under ME. The Colorado program that worked with 98 would not work with ME.

Kay's right on the money with that. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
"... havent changed anything in my system but the o/s" covers a lot of ground.
It's world's removed from something like 'just added some RAM'. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
