Hi everyone. Is DDR like having double? If I had 512MB DDR RAM, is it like having 1024MB?
Umm...no.
DDR means Double Data Rate....basically it means it will run twice as fast as SDR (single data rate) memory.

The DDR RAM will be twice as fast as SDRAM meaning that the data transfer will be doubled. The DDR transfers data at both the rising and falling edges of the clock. You can find more information about the DDR RAM at the following website:
