I'm really, really worried about it...since installing Windows2000 a couple months ago and getting through all the upgrade hiccups...my computer is now running fine. And has been so for the last two weeks.

Something has to be wrong here. It was running a bit of a fever, so Dr. Wolf installed four case fans, and a bay bus to control all of them...and my power supply just laughed at the current drawn.

[B]MY COMPUTER HAS BEEN RUNNING NON-STOP WITHOUT REBOOTING FOR 9 DAYS NOW AND ITS SHOWING NO SIGNS OF STOPPING!!![B/]

[I]PLEASE HELP ME!!! ITS OUT OF CONTROL!!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!![I/]

Its takes whatever I throw at it...a looping Quake 3 Quave time demo, I can burn CD-R's lickety split, listen to MP3's, and still word surf in MS Word or net surf in Explorer all at the same time!!! And I don't have SCSI!!

Dissatisfied with the fact that there is nothing inherently wrong with my computer at all, I don't know what to do. One day I think it will probably just blow up.

heh,heh.

Thanks for all your help.

You've ran across the rarest of animals. What ever you do don't make any sudden movements, slowwwwwwly backaway and close the door. never go into it's lair again

I suggest that you setup a pay booth and charge people to see it.It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Finally, somebody else using Win2000 and realizing how well a system should run...even a friend of mine who is a total Linux guru acknowledges that 2000, if "well-fed" runs absolutely beautifully...

I have ME and 98 installed on some other systems just so I don't forget how to troubleshoot and remind me why I tried 2000 in the first place...it really is a good operating system...

I don't know if this will work for 2K but,

CRASH IT!..........A utility to crash your Windows system. (Hey! I don't design 'em. I just present the system utilities I find to my visitors at Shell Extension City. The more choices they have, the more I feel I've done my job....) According to the developer of this program, "You all know the situation... you've been working on this really important document the whole day. You don't believe in saving too often (that is something for the weaklings) and suddenly ... it's there: 'this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down' Now all you can do is click that OK button and cry into your mousepad. But don't worry, you've just found the solution! CRA**** gives you back the control. You are no longer the helpless victim, sitting in front of your computer, trembling in fear of the next crash. NOW YOU'VE GOT THE POWER. (On the other hand, many users feel that the latest Windows versions are too stable. They become nostalgic, thinking about the good old days when crashes were so regular that you could set your clock by it... I have designed the MANIAC/ULTRA VIOLENCE MODE especially for those.)

You guys are truly twisted...much like myself.

Cra****? That is probably the best utility since the key in Dos games that automatically displayed a fake dos shell while you're Dooming at work and the boss suddenly walks in on your 50-0 fantasy frag with your buddy in cubicle 54C...

However, I spoke too soon...I just installed a Golden Orb for a Slot 1 P3, and now my temps are higher than they were with stock heatsink!!!

I knew it could be too good to last...any suggestions?
