Scan disk runs everytime on start up saying improper shutdown.
Am currently using windows me.

I think my uncle's problem is 9. with the Norton Antivirus conflict.

Forgive me for asking this, noddy, but you are shutting puter down with the Start/Shutdown, right? Our first puter had a switch, and I did screw up once.
